Summer cookouts and grilling are important things to consider when purchasing a gazebo. For the most part, grilling under your gazebo is safe. Below are a few precautions that you should take to ensure your safety.
1. Airflow
Making sure you have adequate airflow while grilling may be the single most important factor to a safe grilling experience. Shade N' Shelters hardtop gazebos include a roof vent to help smoke and heat vent properly.
2. Location & Clearance
We recommend placing your grill in the center of the gazebo posts - by doing this, any sparks, ashes, or cooking debris that can come off the grill won't cause a fire hazard. Your grill should also be placed at least 5 feet from the house.
In addition to location, it's important to have at least three feet of space between the top of your grill and the gazebo clearance.
3. Safety & Maintenance
Like any grill environment, pay attention to your surroundings and never leave the grill unattended. Keep children clear of the grill area at all times. Always check your gazebo before and after for any damage or wear.
