Shade N' Shelters Soft-top gazebos are great additions to any backyard - with the proper care & maintenance they can last you a long time. Here's how to increase the lifespan of your gazebo.
Tip #1: Canopy Removal
Shade N' Shelters soft-top gazebos are water-resistant, not waterproof. If you're aware of an incoming storm, we recommend removing the canopy to prevent damages. Additionally, the canopy should be removed and stored out of the elements throughout the winter months. If your canopy rips or tears, don't worry, you can purchase a replacement here.
Tip #2: Canopy Care
If your canopy is dirty and needs to be cleaned, we recommend cleaning the fabric by hand with a mild soap solution and water. Rinse the canopy thoroughly and allow it to drip dry. Do not machine wash or tumble dry as the fabric may shrink. Do not use bleach or solvents on fabric.
Tip #3: Secure Your Gazebo
This might be the single most important thing you can do to prolong the lifespan of your gazebo. All Shade N' Shelters gazebos include base plates and ground stakes to anchor your gazebo into ground. Alternatively, if your gazebo is placed on concrete or decking, we recommend using anchor bolts to secure your gazebo.
Tip #4: Preventative Maintenance
We recommend routinely inspecting the gazebo hardware and parts for any damages and to assure all hardware is securely fastened. If you notice any damaged parts or hardware, immediately contact Shade N' Shelters customer support team to replace all damaged parts.
Tip #5: Watch for Tree Branches
With snowstorms, heavy rains, and gusty winds happening throughout the year, keep an eye out for loose or dead tree branches that could fall and land on your gazebo. We recommend clearing any hazards from around your gazebo to help prevent any damages.
Conclusion:
Soft-top gazebos are great additions to any backyard - they provide you with cooling shade from the hot summer sun, while being a more cost-effective option compared to a hardtop gazebo. With the proper care & maintenance, you'll be enjoying your gazebo for many years.
